On-Site Windows Infrastructure Engineer / Technical Consultant, £35-45K – London.
Parc Ellis are proud to be working with a leading Managed Services Company who look after the Global Infrastructure for a prestigious global commodities trading firm that operates in the Oil, Energy and Agricultural Markets.
As part of the Contract, we are looking for an Onsite Engineer / Technical Consultant to be based out Office’s in near Hyde Park. The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the entire global Windows Infrastructure, from and including Server and Desktop variants within an Active Directory based environment, to LAN, WAN, storage, firewalls, ESX hosts, phone system, PC's, printers and everything in between.
This role needs a very knowledgeable, technical engineer who is experienced supporting a Windows based infrastructure and all the technologies listed below however the role is not just limited to that… we need someone that wants to get stuck in, be proactive, learn and progress, and be able to not only oversee all the infrastructure on a day to day basis but also quickly resolve any issues, or work on implementing changes/upgrades etc. whilst dealing with day to day user support issues, varying from typical user support requests you would get from non-technical users, to building PC's, crawling under desks, and pretty much anything else that would be classed as IT's role.
- Day to day Support & Maintenance of the customers global infrastructure
- Responding to and delivering high quality support for local, remote or international technical incidents
- ‘Hands on’ problem solving approach; working to strict SLA timeframes & providing feedback and recommendations on all aspects of the infrastructure.
We need articulate and presentable engineers suitable for a key client site, with a good understanding of Infrastructure technologies and strong experience supporting/maintaining:
- Windows infrastructure including server and desktop variants within an Active Directory based environment (O365 experience & Microsoft Certifications would be advantageous)
- WAN/LAN infrastructure
- Vmware Vsphere
- SQL server
The role is split with 2 shifts: 7am – 3pm & 10am – 6pm split evenly between the engineers onsite so it will rotate with an on-call rota to provide out of hours support for the global users so the engineer will need to be a member of that.
